NPWA Response to COVID-19
As our community experiences the effects of coronavirus, we want to assure our customers that we do not anticipate a disruption of water service or compromised water quality. As always, we have staff on site 24/7 at our Forest Park Water Treatment Plant, as well as staff on call for water emergencies.
Additionally, we’d like to emphasize the safety of our water supply in connection with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), as both the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization have confirmed it has not been detected in drinking-water supplies. Further, they acknowledged that the disinfection and the filtration methods that we utilize are effective in removing bacteria and viruses, including the coronavirus from drinking water. Learn more about are treatment process here: https://npwa.org/treatment-process/.
Safety for our customers and employees is a top priority. Due to the necessity of the services we provide, we are taking precautions to protect the health of our workforce. Based on the recommendations set by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Montgomery County Officials, NPWA is restricting access to our building to NPWA employees only. Our Meter Technicians will refrain from house visits until further notice and we will suspend water shut-offs for the time being.
There are multiple ways our customers can pay their water bills:
- Pay online by visiting https://npwa.org/online-bill-pay/
- Pay over the phone through the Interactive Voice Response system by dialing 844-915-1241
- Mail in a check to our office
We will continue to evaluate and determine additional action needed as new information becomes available.
