Online Payment FAQs
Pay your Water Bill online 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes. You can pay your statement online through the customer portal using E-check, Discover, Amex, MasterCard or VISA credit or debit cards, Google and Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo.
Changes effective January 1, 2023:
NPWA customers will be allowed two payments per invoice if paying with a Credit or Debit Card, Google or Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. These forms of payment will charge a service fee of $1.00 and there will be a maximum payment amount of $1,000.
There is no service fee OR transaction cap for paying by Check, ACH, or E-Check.
If you do not wish to receive a paper bill, you can choose to use E-Billing. This option allows you to opt-out of receiving a paper bill. Instead, when your water bill is generated by North Penn Water Authority, you will receive an email notification that your bill is online and ready for payment. To use the E-Billing option, you will need to be a registered user on our site. To register and/or add the E-Billing option, you will need to login to your customer account and change your billing preferences. For more detailed instructions on paying online or signing up for E-Billing, please click here (Please note that by clicking here, you are leaving the North Penn Water Authority website to go to a secure site for bill payment). If you prefer to make a recurring withdrawal from your bank account, please click here.
What information will I need to have available to pay online?
Can I sign up for paperless bills?
Will my paper bill still be mailed to me?
Yes. Unless you change your billing preference to E-Billing, you will continue to receive your paper bill, and can choose at that time whatever payment option is most convenient for you.
Will online bill payment affect my bill payment due date?
No. All payments are due on the day printed on the water bill that customers receive in the mail.
Is my credit card and bank account information safe?
When you click on the “Continue” button, you will leave the North Penn Water Authority website and be transferred to a secure site that protects your information with the highest level of encryption available. NPWA does not store any bank account, credit card or debit card information. You will need to re-enter your account information each time you make a payment.
Can I schedule recurring payments?
How long will it take for an online payment to be credited to my account?
Your online payment will post immediately to your NPWA account. Customers correcting a delinquent account online should contact our Customer Service Department, to ensure uninterrupted water service. You can contact a Customer Service Representative at 215-855-3617, and press 3. A Representative can assist you Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
If your water has been shut off, do not pay on line. Doing so will result in a delay in office personnel being informed that payment has been made, which may cause you to be without water for a longer period of time. Follow the directions in the shut-off notice to make a payment.
Can I make a partial or advance payment online or pay more than the amount due?
Can I view my bill online even though I'm not planning to pay my bill online?
Yes. In order to view your bill online, you must register. After you login you will be taken to the Billing Home page. Next to your service address you will click on the More Info hyperlink. This will take you to a page where you will be able to review current and past billing statements. Click on the View Details/Pay Statement hyperlink to view individual statements. You will only be asked for payment information if you click on Pay Total Amount on the bottom of the statement you are reviewing.
