Scam Alert

NPWA was alerted to an incident where scammers, claiming to be from North Penn Water Authority, tried to set up an appointment with a customer to be allowed access into their home to check their water meter. This call did not come from NPWA’s main phone number and NPWA did not call the customer.

If you receive a call from us but are unsure if it’s a scam, please hang up and call our main office at 215-855-3617 to ensure you are speaking to a NPWA Customer Service Representative. One of our friendly Representatives can check your account to see if a Field Service Rep. was dispatched for a specific reason.

If someone comes to your door asking to access your home, please ask them to show identification. All NPWA employees have a company issued ID card with their name and photo and will park their NPWA vehicle in a conspicuous location. If someone claiming to be from NPWA asks to access your home and you did not set up an appointment, you should call the office to confirm identification. All Field Service Representative have cell phones and can be reached by the main office.
